(I thought I reported this previously, but I can't find that post.)
If I have the following html code in a php file that includes an html href link followed by a period.
Some text here and a <a href="#link">link here</a>.
And I have Visual Studio format the document (i.e., I press Ctrl+D, Ctrl+D), it often results in the period being moved to a new line in the source code, like this:
Some text here and a <a href="#link">link here</a>
.
When that html is displayed to the user, it looks like this (with an extra space before the period):
Some text here and a link here .
Curiously, this doesn't always occur. For example, I created a small test file and the period wasn't moved to a newline. However, in most files this does occur. Having a space before periods at the end of sentences makes the output unacceptable for users.
