php file with mixed php and javascript using <? in Visual Studio 2022

Hello,
I have php code that incorporate javascript/jQuery and <?php "statement"; ?> breaks the formatting of the script parts. php formatting works fine.
No error message, but no intellisense or formatting is working. Version 1,85,17447 in Visual Studio 2022.
Have attached a file with code that does not format correctly, however it is for all files having inline php in script.

Some additional information.

The problem is affecting script blocks <script>code</script> separately so that if there is a <?php ?> in one block but not in another, the formatting will be OK in the block without.
