PHP6602 XXX accessed via magic method xxx::_get() overdone

I just updated to v.1.88.18039 and opened my project and the entire right hand side of the class I am working on is purple.
I use the magic methods get/set in the different classes and it is suddenly marking every single reference with the squiggly underline and the color on the right side.

How do I turn this off? I can't find it and it is overwhelming.

It shouldn't be underlined at all, we'll fix this in the next update.

To quickly get rid of this, please edit/create .editorconfig file in your project root
with the following:

[*.php]
php_diagnostic_php6602 = false
