Increase speed of suggestions when typing

Hello all!

First of all: i‘m super happy with the pro Version so far ! I really love it.

I noticed that when i‘m in a symfony project for example and i‘m in a PHP class, that it takes a while (a few seconds) until the suggestions appear when using $this-> for example.

Is there any way to make it faster? I thought it should be faster because the project is indexed 🤔 i‘m on Windows 11 / WSL 2

Simon2, thank you for the nice words!

This may be caused by the AI pre-selecting the best completion. To confirm that, please try disabling the extension "IntelliPHP", and restart/reload VSCode, if it improves the speed:

If it does, we'll know it's the culprit and we'll work on it.

I tryed it out and it seems it really makes it faster after i disabled the extension! :)

Another question: is there a roadmap or something with planned features for the pro version? or new features in general?

The closest thing to a roadmap is the GitHub issues page: https://github.com/DEVSENSE/phptools-docs/issues

We have some larger features we're working on, but the list is not public. Is there anything specific you'd like to see in future?

I'm not sure if that has something to do with the extension. But i noticed for example when i'm in a function, and i want too view the implementation or references of a method, it always says that no implementation or references could be found. Same for type definitions, and definitions.

But i'm not sure if this is an issue from VSCode, or the PHP devsense extension..

Simon2, do you have a screenshot?

If the editor can't resolve the type of the object, it won't find the method definition. It depends on how the code looks like.
