VS2022 - Paste Lag

Currently working on a project that has php files with 6000+ lines of code, typing is fine, but ctrl+v (paste) suffers from a 2+ second lag and it's super frustrating - what is PHP Tools doing on paste that it does not do when typing? is there a way to tune this behaviour?

If it doesn't happen in other files, it can be related to code formatting. We'll try to repro the issue and get back to you.

the paste lag appears to be similar to lag when typing a semi colon at the end of the line - is it re-checking the entire file when that happens?

Would be nice if we could turn off all really laggy operations for paste operations (and typing for that matter), and bind full them to a different key binding or something so we can choose when to re-check the file / perform the laggy operations.

This is probably caused by formatting. May I ask you to confirm it by disabling the corresponding options in Tools/Options/Text Editor/PHP/Formatting/General:

We have found some performance issues in large code files - working on improvements.

The format should be much faster in the next update.
