PHP Formatting

Hello!

I tried changing the PHP formatting, but it didn't work for me. The spaces keep getting removed no matter what value I select.

The problem will be somewhere else. I've just tried these particular settings.

It might be a combination with other settings or something in the file. If you create fresh new project with just these settings, does it happen to you as well?

Thank you so much! It really is working perfectly! The problem was that I had been working in PhpStorm before and had imported a .editorconfig file from there that was overriding the formatting rules. It might be great if your plugin could detect such locations that override the rules, and when changing the plugin’s formatting rules, there was a warning that it’s overridden in such-and-such a place. Thank you for your help and your hard work!

Your suggestion about detecting overriding .editorconfig files and displaying a warning is excellent. We'll definitely look into how we can implement this to prevent similar confusion in the future.
