in VS2015 and 1.50.12639 composer runs out of memory

When I am opening a new empty Symfony 5.1 project with PHP 7.4 I get a message in the composer log that it is out of memory. Changing the memory_limit to -1 in any PHP 7.4 php.ini file seems to have no effect.

Hi,

This might be caused by running 32bit version of PHP (which is installed by PHP Tools). We'll be working on it.

As a workaround, you can run "Install Missing Composer Packages" again from the context menu:

In my case an update of composer to the 2.x version helped (as requested in another bug report). But yes, I'll look forward to a fix of the 32-bit situation. That is why I had to manually install PHP in the first place.

thank you. We're installing Composer 2.x if there is no composer yet. Automatic update to 2.x will be configurable in future versions.

64bit version of PHP is recommended, although we're still installing 32bit. We'll be installing 64bit in the future updates as well.
