Broken installation

Hi,

Some time over the weekend my install of PHP Tools decided to die. It has been removed from the list of extensions in Visual Studio, and I am unable to see it or reinstall it. I tried using both the installer and the extensions menu in VS. Both methods fail, complaining about being unable to install .Net 2.5. However, the extension was working just fine last week and nothing should have fundamentally changed over the weekend, I didn't even touch my work machine.

I am completely unable to work using your tool.

Hi, I managed to fix the problem. I updated VS with the latest version, then manually reinstalled the extension. I couldn't see .net 2.5 in the install log this time. Not sure what was going on.

Hi @dtalash, thank you for the feedback. Seems the Visual Studio contained a bug and needed to be Updated.

I'm glad you've managed to fix the problem.
