IntelliSense sometimes not recognizing missing imports

For a while now the recognition of missing import statements hasn't always been working correctly. Fairly often one or two uses of a class that isn't imported don't create the squiggly lines and it also isn't possible to bring up the quick fix to import the missing class.

Unknown types and functions should be reported only after the project has been initialized.

Isn't it happening only right after the project is opened? (i.e. the background tasks in the lower-left corner show that project is being indexed)?

Unfortunately ever since one of the updates this year it stopped working randomly. The screenshot above was taken after hours of having VS open at work. In the same file just before the screenshot was taken it reported one of the Types as missing and the quick fix worked - for the three you see it just never gave me the option, not even after closing and reopening the document.

I unfortunately can't give you a way to replicate this reliably but it happens to me multiple times a day where it just doesn't want to show the squiggly lines for missing imports.

Ok, we'll keep looking into it. I'll review the changes we've made, hopefully we find what's broken.
