Issues with color of PHP variables

Hi there,
since the latest update 1.55.14068 in VS 2019 (16.10.4), regular PHP variables only appear in white. No matter which color scheme or PHP variable color I choose, they stay white.
Is anybody else experiencing the same?

Hello, and thank you for the information.

The variables color should respect the User Members - Locals color in Fonts and Colors option page.

Although; there might be a bug. We'll try to fix it asap and release a hotfix for that.

@JakubMisek until now, I did not find any further issues with colors.
I am afraid I was not precise enough the last time, I am sorry for that. the correct issue is that PHP variables were displayed as regular text colors (I am using "Dark (Extra Contrast)" scheme, so they stayed white. I could adjust the PHP variables back to lime using your advice, thank you very much for that!
If I change back to "Light" scheme, they are displayed like regular text in black color. (Changing back to "Dark (Extra Contrast)" the variables will still be displayed in custom lime color). Maybe this issue was triggered in combination with the recent 16.10.4 update?

It is possible it is caused by a recent update of PHP Tools - we have introduced a feature that respects User Members - Locals, if set. Otherwise the color is PHP - Variable.

Yes, of course.

This is what it looks like in regular "Light" mode without any adjustments.

This is the setting in Fonts and Colors for PHP - Variable at the same time.

(seems like default navy blue, but the default color is not used in text editor until I change to a custom color)

thank you - this will be fixed in the upcoming preview - PHP - Variable color will have light and dark colors defined - not depending on User Members - Locals
