Hey everyone,
I recently installed the "PHP Tools for Visual Studio" extension from the Visual Studio (VS) Marketplace. My team primarily develops ASP.NET apps with C# in VS, but we do have a separate application we are developing with PHP. I was hoping to use VS as the IDE for this project, as the other open-source PHP IDEs aren't as nice as VS; and especially since we use Azure DevOps / Team Foundation Server (TFS) as our source control, which is seamlessly integrated with VS.
I noticed when I create a new PHP web project in VS, the solution that is created with this project can be integrated with our TFS source repository; however, I can't check-out files through the Solution Explorer, I can only do so via the Source Control Explorer. I also noticed this is happening specifically with the PHP web project, as I created an ASP.NET Core web app within the same repo, and the files within the ASP.NET project can be check-out normally for edits (screenshots attached).
Has anyone ran into this issue? My goal is for all the files in the PHP web project to be check-out via the Solution Explorer panel, or automatically when edits are made, just like any other C# file contained in an ASP.NET solution.
