I'm trying to figure out how I can use the Remote Explorer "Upload Changes" function from two PC's (home / work etc) for the same project / repo which publishes to a remote server.
I don't need to be working from two PC's at the same time, but I would like to be able to use one PC at home and the other at work.
I know that I can use upload on save or even manually upload each file but it would be tidy to just use the "Upload Changes" when I choose to.
I'm assuming that the list of changed files is derived from timestamp differences?
I'm using the same shared project file (stored in the repo) on both PC's.
Here is an example of my scenario.
Files from a composer library/vendor has a date of 17 Jun in the repo, 24th Jun on the work PC local cache and 8 Jul
on the home PC local cache and the remote server has a date of 26th Sep.
Even though all files are in sync on both PC's, each time that I publish "Changed Files" from either PC, the file(s) are published and the next time I switch PC the first publish of "Changed Files" will update the exact same files, most of which have not been updated in months or even years.
For the odd file this would not be a problem, but in my case for one of the projects that I work on it forces the update of over 8K files and takes considerable time.
Whats the trick here?
Before the new Remote Explorer I had no such problems.
Thanks in advance.
