Breakpoint Set But Not Yet Bound

Hello -

I've downloaded a trial version of PHP Tools for Visual Studio 2019. At first it worked great, but then after a short time using it, I got the message "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. Breakpoint set but not yet bound" when setting a breakpoint; sure enough, the message was correct, as breakpoints were no longer hit.

I searched some forums, and found someone said that the error went away after installing the latest upgrade to Visual Studio. Fortunately, I was due for an upgrade, and that solved the problem.... for about a day. Now, the breakpoint error is back, and I have no more Visual Studio upgrades to install. Clearly the VS upgrade was not the solution, but rather it just reset something; however, I don't know what it reset. Without the breakpoint functionality the program is not meaningful for me. Can someone help?

Thank you for reporting the issue!

This might be caused when the source code gets changed during the debug session, or there is an issue with Xdebug connection.

May I ask to take a look on the Debug Output log (https://docs.devsense.com/en/vs/debugging/output#debugger-log). There might be some issues listed which might help.

Here's the screenshot you requested, with a copy/paste of the output window below. I see "php_remote.exe has exited with code -1". Looks like the program is crashing. Thank you again for your help!

Thank you for the information.

It seems this message is not originating from PHP Debugger, but from JS debugger. Could you please try to turn the Script debugging off and check if the problem persists?

About the php_remote.exe exit message. This is an unfortunate message, but it's actually expected. You can ignore it, but we should change it in future versions.
